Meet Annette!

JBe Photography is proud to introduce Annette, the new intern!

We played around with some lights today - the shot on the left was done with a simple shoot-through umbrella outside in the parking lot at my studio.  The one on the right was done with a ring flash in a hallway in my building. :)

Here's a little bit about Annette.  I'm sure after reading this, you'll see why I'm so stoked to bring her on as part of the team, (aside from her amazing outlook, positive attitude and wicked fashion sense).  She's going to be a great addition for the next three months.

1. Biggest passion: Storytelling through art, design...and storytelling.

2. Fav Food: Mac N' Cheese Pizza

3. Vice: Wine and/or Diet Coke (gotta have my daily aspartame).

4. Phrase: "Those who mind, don't matter; and those who matter, don't mind"...I think it's Dr. Suess 

5. Something interesting: I won a national loon calling contest when I was 10... needless to say, not my idea to enter it.

6. A couple of my favorite bands at the moment: Dr. Dog, The Walkmen, Yeasayer, and an all time fav: Iggy & the Stooges.

Colleen: Milwaukee Boudoir!

Colleen came into the studio to get some Boudoir photos done as a Groom Gift for her husband!  They're getting married in August, and he's going to be stunned.  Here are a few of my favorites from her session!

Studio Progress!

Hey guys!

So, we've been working crazy hard on the studio to get it ready for the opening!  We still have a lot of work to do but I wanted to update you all on how things are looking!

Super huge massive kudos and thanks to Dan (my boyfriend and hot handyman,) and my close friend Julia for all their help! :) <3

The meeting area:









Julia's favorite wall.  This applique is awesome and I chose it because it couldn't be truer, especially when it comes to your wedding photos.  That is why it's SO important to choose a photographer who can capture moments for you.  :)








The front room - I think it's just about done!  Just need to set up the coffee bar on the left side of the door and get a plant in the back left corner to the right of the door. :) 
 Finally, a place to display my little collection of vintage cameras!

So, now you can see where the other work is we have left to do!  We need to move this stuff out and mop/prep/paint the floors here.  Then, we begin transforming it into a boudoir room!  I'm not telling you what we're going to do... you'll just have to wait and see! :)

This is the back shooting room.  We're building up an infinity wall where the big white wall is there. :)

Amy and Shannon: Double Boudoir shoot [Milwaukee Studio]

Amy and Shannon came in last night to the studio for a fun Ladies Night Boudoir shoot!  Their hair and makeup was done by the fabulous BLovely Salon in Milwaukee.  Here are several of my favorites!

Vintage Dani

Today Dani and I partnered up with Mikelle Flanner of E-Collectique Runway Boutique for a fashion shoot.  Mikelle brought all kinds of great high-end vintage clothing, jewelry and shoes (Hello Louis Vuitton and Chanel!) and Dani was a trooper, getting on high ledges when she isn't too wild about heights.  What a fun day.

It was my first shoot in the new studio even though the studio isn't finished yet... we got to shoot in front of a few of the newly painted walls.  Also, we went outside in the neighborhood around the studio and shot on location.  I can't explain how many FABULOUS places there are to shoot!
